Reno Man to Be Arrainged Today for Four Murders

Joseph Naso, 77, was arrested by Marin County sheriff's deputies Monday on suspicion of murdering four people from 1977 to 1994.

A Reno man suspected of committing four murders will be arraigned in Marin County Superior Court this afternoon.

Joseph Naso, 77, was arrested by Marin County sheriff's deputies Monday when he was released from the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe where he was serving one year for violating his probation following his conviction on a theft charge, a jail spokeswoman said.

He was booked into the Marin County Jail at 5 p.m. Monday and is being held without bail.

The murders reportedly occurred between 1977 and 1994 and one victim was a Marin County woman.

Marin County District Attorney Ed Berberian has not yet released specific information about the murders.

The Marin County District Attorney's Office scheduled a press conference about Naso's arrest late this morning at the Marin County Civic Center.
