Police to Set Up DUI Checkpoints Tonight
Checkpoints will be near Lincoln and Grand avenues, as well as Irwin and Fifth avenues.
San Rafael Police have scheduled a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint at 6 p.m. in the 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue at Grand and it will operate in both directions, accoridng to police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher.
The checkpoint and may relocate later in the evening to northbound Irwin Street at Fifth Avenue. This event is funded by a DUI STEP grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
