Police Release Photos of United Markets Stabbing Suspect

The man in the photos allegedly stabbed a United Markets clerk in the chest and attempted to stab another employee after being confronted about shoplifting on Sunday.

The released two surveillance photos of a man suspected of stabbing a employee Sunday.

At approximately 4 p.m. Aug. 14, the man in the photos in the chest with a knife and attempted to stab another employee after being confronted about shoplifting.

“Luckily, the clerk received only superficial injuries,” police spokeswoman Margo Rorhbacher said.

The suspect was last seen heading toward East Francisco Boulevard  in a black Audi, according to Rohrbacher.

The Audi’s license plate had been stolen from an unassociated vehicle in Sausalito.   

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds, with shoulder length brown hair and a visible tattoo on one of his calves.  He was wearing gray checkered shorts and a brown knit beanie cap, according to Rohrbacher.
