San Rafael police arrested a woman on suspicion of burglarizing an auto dealership early Monday morning, a police spokeswoman said.
Barbier Security responded to an alarm at the Sonnen BMV dealership at 1599 Francisco Blvd. East at 4:51 a.m., police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said.
Security personnel called police when they discovered that a back door had been forced open and there was a woman inside the dealership, Rohrbacher said.
Police took the woman, 37-year-old Marne Nicole Dager-Gallo, of San Rafael, into custody, Rohrbacher said. She is being held in Marin County Jail on $15,000 bail.
San Rafael police, the Marin County Sheriff's Office and the San Pablo Police Department's K-9 unit searched the building and the surrounding area but did not locate anyone else.
Gallo was arrested for felony burglary and a violation of probation for prior theft offenses, police said.
It appears that nothing was taken from the dealership, and the investigation is continuing, Rohrbacher said.
