Novato Man Accused of Being Terra Linda Gas Station Robber

A Novato man is accused of robbing two gas stations in February, where one resulted in a fight with a clerk.

Police arrested a Novato man suspected of robbing two Terra Linda gas stations in Ferbruary, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Damien Truscott, 28, was booked in to Marin County Jail on March 23, after investigators searched his apartment, according to the Marin IJ. He is facing felony charges of burlgary, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and battery. His bail is $200,000.

The first robbery occurred on Feb. 14 at Gateway Gas on Northgate Drive where a lone gunman displayed a handgun to the cashier, demanded cash and escaped on foot.

On Feb. 28 at 11:00 a.m. a supsect entered the Union 76 Gas Station on Del Presidio Way, The suspect struck the clerk in the head with the gun and then fled. The clerk was treated at the hospital for his wounds and later released.

After interviewing witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, the police determined that the two robberies were connected.
