Murder Suspect Pleads 'Not Guilty' in Unrelated Case

While the investigation continues, Robert Lee Bradley plead "not guilty" in a separate incident from the same day of the murder.

A San Rafael man arrested on suspicion of murder plead "not guilty" to unrelated charges Tuesday morning.

Robert Lee Bradley, 51, was arrested Sept. 9 on suspicion of murdering 46-year-old Alicia Griffiths at 49 Harbor St.

Although Bradley has not been charged for the murder yet, prosecutors did file charges for a separate incident on the same day of the murder where he allegedly threatened to kill two clerks at a . He plead not guilt.

Police found Bradley and several other men at the Harbor Street residence around 6:45 a.m.  on Sept. 9 when they responded to reports of a woman who was not breathing, according to police Sgt. Jim Correa. Griffiths, who suffered blunt force trauma to the face, was pronounced dead at the scene and Bradley was arrested.

Correa said Bradley and the victim were or recently had been dating.

The the cause of Griffiths’ death is still under investigation, according to Marin County Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Boyd.

Bradley had already been told to leave Griffiths’ home around 4:20 a.m. after police responded to reports of an argument, Correa said.
