Murder Suspect Charged on Unrelated Crimes

Robert Lee Bradley has a criminal history that goes back to 1982, reports say.

Prosecutors continue to review evidence in a recent murder case where a San Rafael man is suspected of killing his girlfriend.

Robert Lee Bradley, 51, on suspicion of murdering 46-year-old Alicia Griffiths at 49 Harbor St.

Bradley, who had a history that includes six convictions for assault, theft and drug crimes that span 29 years, was charged on unrelated crimes Tuesday, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Police found Bradley and several other men at the residence around 6:45 a.m. Friday when they responded to reports of a woman who was not breathing, police Sgt. Jim Correa said. Griffiths was pronounced dead at the scene and Bradley was arrested.

The the cause of Griffiths’ death is still under investigation, according to Sgt. Keith Boyd. She suffered blunt force trauma to her face.

Correa said Bradley and the victim were or recently had been dating.
Bradley had already been told to leave Griffiths’ home around 4:20 a.m. after police responded to reports of an argument, Correa said.

About an hour after that first call, Bradley showed up at a 7-Eleven store about two blocks away at 80 Medway Road where he allegedly threatened to kill two clerks and stole an item using intimidation, Correa said.

Bradely's bail is set at $1 million.
