Lanes were shut down for about half hour Sunday afternoon.

Two lanes of southbound Highway 101 were blocked in San Rafael when a motorcyclist crashed Sunday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

At 5:28 p.m., the first report was made about a motorcyclist on the ground and his bike blocking one lane near Andersen Drive, CHP officer Ralph Caggiano said. Two left lanes were blocked as CHP officers and a rescue crew arrived.

The rider complained of injuries to his right side and right leg and was transported to Marin General Hospital by a San Rafael Fire Department medical crew. One fire official said the man needed X-rays and his injuries were not known.
