Marinwood Firefighters Douse Small Kitchen Fire

Marinwood firefighters doused a small kitchen fire in the Roundtree condominium complex yesterday morning, according to Capt. Joel White.

Around 11 a.m., the resident awoke to the smoke detectors’ alarm. After exiting the house, the resident called the fire department, and firefighters successfully extinguished the flames.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is undetermined, White said.

“This is a good reminder for people to check their batteries on their smoke detectors at least twice a year,” he said.
