Three suspects assaulted a man and took his wallet containing $325 late Tuesday night, a Marin County sheriff's sergeant said.
The victim and his pregnant wife, who was not injured, were in a car parked in the area of Estancia and Adrian ways in Santa Venetia when the attack happened around 10:30 p.m., Sgt. Jerry Jones said.
The three suspects struck the man and cut his arm twice with a weapon -- possibly a box cutter -- and took his wallet, Jones said.
The suspects were described as two black men and a white man in their early 20s, Jones said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the case to call the sheriff's office at (415) 499-7233 or Bay Area Crime Stoppers at (415) 800-TIPS.
