Man with Pellet Gun Causes Swarm of Police

A witness thought the man, who lives in a homeless encampment near the railroad underpass, was yielding a rifle Monday afternoon.

 

A man with a pellet gun was mistaken for a rifleman Monday afternoon near Highway 101 and created a frenzy of police activity, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

San Rafael Police and California Highway Patrol officers found the man with a pellet gun on Merrydale Road near the Mount Olivet Cemetery after a witness called the police at 1:15 p.m., according to the IJ.
