Man Arrested For Allegedly Pimping a Juvenile

A 21-year-old man was arrested after paying for a motel room to facilitate a sexual act with another person and a minor.

San Rafael police officers arrested a man from Sacramento on suspicion of pimping a juvenile at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher.

Police officers from the street crimes unit contacted the 16-year-old juvenile through text messages after finding her on an adult services website. They arranged to meet her at Motel 6 on 737 Francisco Blvd. East.

They arrested the girl, and Andre Christopher Conway, 21, who paid for the motel room and drove her from Rancho Cordova, Calif. to San Rafael, according to Rohrbacher.

She was taken to Marin County Juvenile Hall, and Conway was booked at Marin County Jail on felony charges of pimping, pandering and violating probation. His bail is set at $50,000
