Man Arrested After Slashing Bouncer

San Rafael resident turned away from Nickel Rose gets violent.

After a San Rafael resident was denied entrance to Nickel Rose around 1:20 a.m. Saturday morning, he pulled a knife on the bouncer and slashed the doorman, said San Rafael police.

John Sabo, 41, of San Rafael, was detained by another bouncer at the door until police officers arrived.

Sabo was arrested for aggrevated assault without a firearm with great bodily injury likely. He is being held in county jail on $50,000 bail.
