A San Rafael man was arrested Friday night on suspicion of attemping to lure minors in to his mini van with the intent of committing lewd acts with them, according to police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher.
Isaias Delfido Gramajo Ramos, 32, was booked into on one felony count of communicating with a minor with the intent of committing lewd acts and loitering in an area for the purpose of prostitution. His bail was set at $50,000.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, two young teenaged girls were in the Bret Harte neighborhood when Ramos allegedly approached them in a mini van. He offered the girls money in an attempt to lure them into his van with sexual intentions, Rohrbacher said in a release.
The girls quickly left the area and called the police. Police officers were able to track Ramos to his house and arrested him without incident, Rohrbacher said.
The girls are safe and were not physically harmed. Their identity remains confidential due to their age. Ramos is not suspected in any prior sexual related offenses at this time, according to Rohrbacher.
