San Rafael police officers arrested a 34-year-old man who is accused of raping and molesting an 11-year-old girl over the past two years, according to authorities.
The suspect was booked in , Thursday evening on charges of sexual assault, lewd acts with a child under the age of 14 and penetration with a foreign object. His bail is $1 million.
Detectives located the suspect after hearing allegations that he continually sexually assaulted the victim, who lived with him in the Canal neighborhood.
The investigation is on going and no further information will be released at this time the San Rafael Police Department said in a statement.
