Marin County sheriff's officials released Thursday photos of two men they are calling "persons of interest" in a recent home break-in.

According to sheriff's Lt. Jamie Scardina, a home on South Ridgewood Road in Kentfield was burglarized on June 1, around 2:05 p.m.

"While enroute to the call, the reporting party stated that two black males were leaving the area in a red Lexus," the lieutenant said in a sheriff's statement.

When those deputies then arrived at the house, they found it had been "ransacked."

Meanwhile, other deputies in the area who were helping in the search for the suspects soon spotted a Lexus matching the suspect vehicle description driving on Sir Francis Drake Blvd.   They tried to pull it over, but the driver did not stop, according to Scardina.

"Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, however the driver failed to yield," Scardina said.  "Deputies followed the vehicle as it continued southbound  [on] HWY 101 into Mill Valley."

Eventually, the driver and passenger stopped the car and ran.  At that point, they were in the neighborhood of De Silva Island.

"After an extensive search, the driver and passenger were not located," the lieutenant said.

Now, after "an extensive investigation," Scardina says authorities have pegged Quinshawn Gowans of Vallejo and Larry Bradford Jr. of Richmond as persons of interest in the burglary and subsequent chase.  Both are 19.

Anyone with information about the teens' whereabouts is asked to contact the Marin Sheriff's Office at 415-479-2311.

I think that it is very inappropriate to use the patch as a police blotter, and judging from the content, probably racist to boot!

Racist? They are from the east bay, not Marin. So the PC rules don't matter..
