Halloween Patrols Net One DUI Arrest

Police arrested one suspect over Halloween weekend for drunken driving.

After several field sobriety tests were administered in Marin over Halloween weekend, one suspect was arrested for drunken driving, according to Sgt. Christopher Coale.

From Friday through Monday, 14 officers throughout the county.  They stopped 137 people, and administered the 18 field sobriety tests, where one person was found to over the legal limit.

“Apparently the message that 'Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving' was heeded over the weekend,” Coale said in a statement.

 Enforcement operations will be conducted by Marin Avoid the 13 agencies during holiday periods throughout the year where the potential for alcohol abuse and driving activities may be mingled, Coale said.

For Halloween, personnel from the San Rafael, Novato, Tiburon, and San Anselmo Police Departments participated.
