Grass Fire Near Homeless Encampment Closes Anderson Drive Lane

Did you hear the sirens or see the smoke?

 

San Rafael firefighters extinguished a grass fire on Tuesday off the side of Anderson Drive and closed the road, between Du Bois Street and West Francisco Blvd., for roughly an hour, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

It took firefighters roughly 20 minutes to control the blaze, which appeared to be at the location of a homeless encampment.
