Firefighters Snuff Small Kitchen Fire
The San Rafael Fire Department is investigating the cause of a small kitchen fire yesterday morning.
San Rafael fire officials are investigating the cause of a kitchen fire that damaged a home in an unincorporated area near the city yesterday morning.
Firefighters went to 31 Manzanita Ave. where fire was reported in the kitchen of a house at about 10 a.m., according to San Rafael Fire Chief Chris Gray.
The fire was quickly controlled and no one was injured.

Investigators reported finding downed utility lines near the home that appeared to have fallen in the wind.
It has not been determined if the downed lines were related to the fire.
