After containing the fire, firefighters used a thermal imaging device to check that the fire had not spread onto the rest of the home and knocked down walls and floors, fire officials said.

The home was undergoing renovation and a contractor was working onsite at the time of the fire. The cause is likely connected to construction work on the home's plumbing, fire officials said.
