Driver Hits Pedestrian in Terra Linda

A 72-year-old man complained of pain after he was hit by a car in Terra Linda.

A San Rafael man was transported to the hospital for a head injury after he was hit by a car in Terra Linda on Tuesday.

The 72-year-old man was crossing the street at Lea Drive when a driver turned from Manuel T. Freitas Parkway and hit him at approximately 5:18 p.m., police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said. The driver, a 76-year-old woman, was traveling 20 miles per hour.

The man complained of pains and sustained an injury to his head, Rohrbacher said. He was transported to Marin General Hospital.
