Dog Tests Positive for Pot, Man in Marinwood Busted with 2 Pounds of Meth

Recent entries from the Marin County Sheriff's Office blotter include a 9-year-old daughter biting her mother and an un-neighborly dispute over a barking dog.

Sept. 24

Las Gallinas Avenue, Marinwood — After walking his dog down by the creek, the reporting person’s dog got sick. The vet told the dog owner his dog tested positive for marijuana. RP thinks he was “exposed” down by the creek, in the area of the school where kids are known to smoke weed.

Auburn Street, San Rafael — RP (reporting person) said someone is putting up a tent right now, across from the Montessori school. RP said it’s an ongoing problem.

Las Gallinas Avenue, Marinwood — Community policing activity completed at Miller Creek Middle School. Deputy spoke with school stuff who said students were settling in and working hard. The vice principal said two boys got into a fight and have been working on their restorative justice plan to amend what they did wrong. Deputy walked around campus.

30 n. San Pedro Road, Santa Venetia — Community policing activity completed at county community school. The deputy spoke with school stuff, who said another iPad was taken from the school on Sept. 20. Students were spoken to, but with negative results. Staff had no real suspect information at this time. Deputy walked the campus and spoke with students while they passed.

Sept. 23

Queenstone Drive, Marinwood — Report of dog barking for two hours. RP was hiking in the area. 

Marinwood Avenue and Miller Creek, Marinwood — Report of a 70-year-old male who is nonresponsive. CPR was in progress. He was transported by medical.

Unionstone Drive, Marinwood — RP (reporting person) had a question about leash laws and using pepper spray against aggressive, loose dogs. A deputy advised the RP that it is legal for his wife to carry peppery spray and informed him of Marin County leash laws.

 

Sept. 22 

Adrian Terrace, Santa Venetia — RP received a letter from her neighbor who she ahs been having problems with. She would not like to start a “paper trail” about the incidents that are occurring. Issues with the neighbor are about the RP’s barking dog.

 

Sept. 21

Pinewood Drive, Marinwood — A motorcycle pulled up in front of a vacant house, it appeared as if the driver went up to the house. The description on the driver, RP just requested a show of colors. A man was arrested after being contacted. He had walked away from a stolen motorcycle and dropped his backpack, which contained roughly two pounds of suspected meth.

Heatherstone Drive, Marinwood — A disagreement between the mother and her daughter riled of of control when the daughter bit her mother and younger sister and began throwing things around the house. The daughter was counseled and agreed to clean up the mess. The deputy provided suggestions as to how they could avoid similar situations in the future.
