Deputy Retrieves Stolen Vehicle on North San Pedro Road

Two people were arrested early Tuesday morning on suspicion of stealing a Ford Ranger in San Bruno.

A Marin deputy arrested two people on suspicion of stealing a Ford Ranger early Tuesday morning while he was on patrol near Merrydale and North San Pedro roads.

Concord resident Steven Anthony Fernando, 28, and San Mateo resident Alexandra Yvette Allen, 23, were booked in Marin County Jail on  charges of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and possession of stolen property. They are being held in lieu of $25,000.

At approximately 12:04 a.m. on Dec. 11, Deputy Robert Heilman's license plate reader alerted him that the Ford Ranger in the area was reported stolen to the San Bruno Police Department on Dec. 10, according to Lt. Jamie Scardina.
