Crime Trends: Reports Center on Downtown San Rafael, Canal

The points on this map show incidents reported between Oct. 30 and Nov. 13. The data was collected from crimereports.com, which maps crime reports from local police departments. The locations are approximate.

Criminal acitivity is concentrated in the downtown area and in the Canal neighborhood, primarily along the 101 corridor. Thefts, including vehicle thefts, are among the highest reported for the two-week span.

Click on the pins to see the time and date of the incident. See the list for what color pins represent what crime:

  • Blue pins show burglaries and robberies
  • Light blue pins show breaking and entering
  • Red pins show assault
  • Green pins show theft
  • Purple pins show vehicle theft
  • Pink pins show property crime
  • Yellow pins show a sexual offense
  • Red triangles indicate multiple incidents in one location
