A 22-year-old San Rafael resident was identified as the man who was found dead in the Canal Neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The body of Marvin Vicente was found floating in the canal near the docks of homes near Lido Avenue, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division.
The preliminary investigation indicates foul play is not a factor in the death, according to Sheriff’s officials.
Officials said they won’t release any additional information about the death until the cause and manner of the death is certified.
An employee at a nearby business called the police to report the body floating in the water around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
