Car Crashes into San Rafael Café

The two passengers in the vehicle were injured and transported to the hospital.

A car slammed through the wall of a San Rafael café Thursday evening, according to the San Rafael Fire officials.

Firefighters responded to reports of the crash into Joe's Café at 4150 Redwood Highway at about 6 p.m., San Rafael Fire Chief Christopher Gray said.

The car had crashed through the north wall of the café, injuring the two passengers. They were transported to a hospital, according to Gray.

No one else was injured. Police are assisting firefighters in investigating the crash.

I'm always curious to know the ultimate cause of these types accidents. There have been quite a few of them in Marin alone. I suspect electronic throttle control (ETC) malfunction. It's not just a Toyota issue. All cars have ETC now. There is too much technology on today's automobiles, imo.
