Burglary Suspect Plunges from Two-Story San Rafael Garage

Suspect accused of high-end burglaries in Washington.

A suspected high-end serial auto thief who'd already eluded authorities in two states landed in San Rafael police custody on Wednesday.

The pursuit of fugitive Aikeem Lloyd Roberts finally ended on a patch of concrete near Third Street and Lootens Place after the suspect jumped from an adjacent two-story parking garage and bounced off an awning, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Roberts, 26, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a parole violation according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office booking log.

Roberts led San Rafael police on a chase on Christmas Eve that was called off after he went through red lights and hit speeds of approximately 100 mph according to the report.

He is suspected of stealing four Infinitis and a Mercedes from a Kirkland, Wash. dealership earlier this month, the report said.
