A gunman fired a shot at the store manager of Sears at Northgate Mall 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the San Rafael Police Department.
The gunman entered the office area of the Sears department store, pointed a gun at the manager and demanded money. The manger entered another office and retrieved an undisclosed amount of money. As the manager collected the cash, the gunman fired a shot in the direction of the manager but the shot did not harm anyone, according to the press release.
The suspect then exited out the back door.He concealed his identity before coming into the store.
San Rafael police were not available for comment.
