Couple Identified in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Each suffered gunshot wound to the head.

The two people whose bodies were discovered in a Northgate hotel room on Saturday were identified by police as Shawn Elizabeth Curry, 59,  and Donald Eugene Bradley, 81.

They were married and each died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police believe the two died in a murder-suicide in a room at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel at 1010 Northgate Drive.

Curry and Bradley had recently returned from Mexico where they had been living. She worked as a real estate agent in Baja California. It is believed Curry had a sister in San Rafael. 

San Rafael Police spokeswoman Margo Rohrbacher said the case is under investigation and no further information is available.

Employees at the hotel called 911 Saturday at about 1:30 p.m. after they used an emergency key to enter the room of a couple who hadn't checked out as expected, according to the police.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene. A firearm was found in the room.
