Second Installment of Property Taxes Due

Thursday, April 10, is the last day to pay the second installment of your Marin County 2013-2014 property tax bill without penalty. Taxpayers are encouraged to pay early to avoid penalties.

Payments sent by mail must be postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service on or before April 10.

The Tax Collector mailed 92,069 tax bills on Sept. 27, 2013, and the first installment was due in December 2013. The 2013-2014 tax roll totals $810,242,226 compared with $777,668,203 the previous fiscal year. Property owners who have not received a tax bill, especially those who have recently purchased real estate, should contact the Tax Collector’s Office. Property owners located in the Ross Valley School District were issued revised tax bills in early November and should pay the revised amount due.
