Minor League Football is Coming to Marin County

San Rafael, CA. – July

Minor league football is making its way back to Marin County. In the spring
of 2014 the Marin County Pride Minor League Football Organization will
begin playing their home games In Marin.

Their Co-Owner and GM Clay Jackson (who is also the varsity head coach at San Rafael High School) says the team has been three years in the planning and with the local success of the San Rafael Pacifics minor league baseball
team they felt now was the time to make it happen.

The Pride are an independent minor league football team made up from adult
players from all walks of life. One of the major differences between minor
league football and minor league baseball is the football players are not paid to
play. They are in it strictly for the love of the game and it always shows on
game day.

Coach Jackson and his family have owned minor league teams in the past but
when they moved back to Co-owner and President Kenyatta Shedrick-
Jackson's (Coach Jackson's wife) home county they knew they eventually
would want to bring a high quality team to Marin County.

The Marin County Pride Minor League Football Organization will be holding
try outs during the months of October and November. Training camp begins in
January and the regular season begins in March 2014.
