Kaiser Permanete Awards over $175,500 to support Marin County nonprofit organizations

Grants help increase access to health care, decrease overweight and obesity, decrease alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, support a sustainable safety net, and address Marin County’s disproportionate rates of breast cancer.

Kaiser Permanente is donating more than $175,500 in grants to nonprofit organizations to improve the health of the communities in Marin County. Nineteen Marin County nonprofits received Kaiser Permanente grant funding.

“Kaiser Permanente is unique in that in addition to funding, we also work side by side with our community partners to share medical research, clinical practices, and the expertise of our physicians and staff to help make our communities healthier places to live, work, learn, and play,” said Pat Kendall, Medical Group Administrator at the San Rafael Medical Center. “Kaiser Permanente's support for these important organizations is just one of the ways we are working to improve the health of our communities.”
