Honoring 9/11 Heroes

Lauren and her husband were expecting their first baby. Mom and child both lost their lives on 9/11.She was trying to use the air phone and call her husband but it did not go through, so she left a message on his answering machine saying that she loved hlm and to tell all in her family also, that she loved them. She knew they were all probably going to crash in this hijacking by terrorist's. Lauren was  from San Rafael and now there's a park in her honor downtown. It's pretty, with benches and flowers, a shady spot where people walk through all the time.

Such bravery and courage has gone down in history. I am so impressed with all the people on that flight, especially the men who decided to storm the cockpit, and attack the men who were no doubt headed to crash into the US capitol. That was the plan, and our heroes voted to stop them from doing it.

I was also impressed that between both political parties, ex-Presidents also voted at the memorial to finish this memorial to all on Flight 93, to gather money to finish building it. One man in attendance who was the brother of a copilot, burst into tears when this fundraiser was announced. Go here to see more about the memorial.

I pray for peace especially on Sept. 11, 2011, for the families of those lost that day on Flight 93.
