Their stunning Mickey-themed Christmas decorated home that’s become a holiday institution for decades in San Rafael's Marinwood neighborhood, has landed them on a nationally-televised reality show.

The Mize family’s 417 Blackstone Drive home is among 20 selected by the program. It’s the only Northern California home that will appear on the show.

The Mize family will compete for up to $250,000 in cash prizes on the five-episode series.

Michael Moloney & Sabrina Soto (both from “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”) will serve as judges.

The Mize family is the largest to appear on the show with 17 members.

Their Mickey Mouse Christmas House is a family tradition that goes back generations and includes 39 years of Mickey-themed collections and 44 years of extensive Christmas decorations (more than 400 Mickeys are displayed in the garage alone).

Les Maze along with his wife of 44 years, Patty, started collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia after a 1970’s visit to Disneyland that spawned their Christmastime tradition.

The more than 750 feet of LED lights used for the decorations contributes to a 450 percent December spike in their electric bill.

Their home attracts about 10,000 visitors each year.

“The Great Christmas Light Fight” will air on Mondays, Dec. 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m.), Dec. 16 (9:00-11:00 p.m.) and Dec. 23 (9:00-11:00 p.m.) with back-to-back episodes on those two nights.
