Promoting entrepreneurship in underserved communities the year-round mission of a Marin nonprofit group.

Showcasing some of some of the work the Renaissance Marin has helped inspire will just take a few hours.

San Rafael residents will get a chance to share the fruits of that labor at Saturday's Renaissance Marin Holiday Marketplace.

This event celebrates the kindred spirits of small, local businesses of years past and will feature two dozen local businesses selected from graduates and clients of the Renaissance Center and Working Solutions, a community-based micro loan provider.

The fair will feature handcrafted clothing, jewelry, body products, food and music.

"This fair will be an opportunity for the public to find the treasures hidden in our community for great gift giving and remembered for future occasions," Renaissance Marin spokeswoman Lucero DeLeon said in a prepared statement.

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center (1115 3rd Street in San Rafael).
