Novato based nonprofit that provides free hairdressing to those with cancer, organizes a team to run. TEAM Hairdressers with Heart's first organized run is taking place at the Marin County Half Marathon this coming Saturday April 19th. Thirty men, women and children that have been training and fundraising will join together at McNears Beach in San Rafael along with thousands of other runners.

Nina Husen and Nicole Hitchcock started Hairdressers with Heart as a result of witnessing firsthand, the devastation associated with treatment induced hair loss. The two "NH's" co own NH2 salon located at Vintage Oaks in Novato where they lost a dear friend, sister and co-worker, Brandy Hitchcock.

The goal of Hairdressers with Heart is to help cancer patients cope with the emotional impact of losing and regrowing hair by offering free hairdressing. This support is extremely uplifting to a cancer patient that might otherwise isolate.

Salons and stylists across the United States volunteer as cancer patient Style Heroes. The intention of Hairdressers with Heart is to transform how hair salons care for cancer patients.
