MLK Day of Service

Join the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership for a Day of Service in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 17, 2011!

This year, the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership is partnering with Green Sangha to host a MLK Day of Service focusing on environmental conservation.  Learn how the simple act of planting can safeguard the environment, protect human rights, and even defend democracy.   

The Day of Service will take place on Monday, January 17th from 9AM-12PMPM.  The project will involve cleaning, planting and irrigation work in Davidson Middle School's gardens.  The gardens provide an outdoor recreation learning space that is vital to a student's education.
