Mini Relay for Life Walk

This event will promote cancer awareness in Marin County as well as inform people about the

main Relay For Life fundraising events on July 30-31 in Novato and August 27-28 in San

Rafael. Walkers can come to the mall from 10am-2pm to stroll, shop, listen to entertainment,

learn about the American Cancer Society’s programs and services, and enter a raffle for

chances to win prizes donated by local merchants. Luminarias will also be available to make in

Honor or in Memory of loved ones and their cancer journeys. These will be placed on the tracks

at the Main Relay For Life events to light the courses through the night. Childrens activities will

include a station for making Father’s Day cards and gifts, as well as face painting and balloon

sculptures.

Event Registration is only a $5 donation for individuals, $10 for families, and walkers are

encouraged to raise funds on their own as well. All monies will go to fund Patient Services and

Support in Marin County and Research in the fight against cancer. The event will be centered at

Oak Plaza between Kohl’s and The Main Shopping mall and walking routes will be available

both inside and outside the center. Inside the center will be games, information tables, raffles

and children’s activities.
