Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program at the Center for Volunteer and Nonprofit Leadership addresses the core competencies needed to effectively manage organizations and complex programs as well as the leadership skills one needs to be successful within the quickly changing sector.

The program is designed for first time Executive Directors and nonprofit managers who are preparing for, or pursuing, a leadership career track.  The program is also appropriate for experienced corporate or government executives exploring a move into the nonprofit sector. 

The program requires a commitment of four full days (September 15th and 16th, and December 2nd and 3rd). The Emerging Leaders Program curriculum covers: Compliance and Nonprofit Law, Development and Fundraising, Finance, Governance, Human Resources, Leadership Development, Staff Management and Business Strategy.
