Advocacy for Workforce Housing and Economic Development Committee Meeting

The San Rafael Chamber of Commerce Advocacy for Workforce Housing and Economic Development Committee monitors city regulations, advocates for streamlining the development process, supports new development and promotes local business. The Committee also works to improve the development permitting process by monitoring the Design Review Board and Planning Commission activities. Members of the AHED Committee advocate for specific issues like sign ordinances, reduced business fees, parking, traffic, and other governmental regulations. As a whole, the Committee also advocates for the development and retention of affordable housing for Marin's work force. The AHED Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the Chamber of Commerce Conference Room.
