Two New Dynamic Young Bands featuring Singer Songwriters Alexander Nelson of Walking Spanish and Saffell Sproul with SAFFELL

Walking Spanish is enigmatic in style. Their music is an honest
expression of the band's dynamic, magnetic prowess. It is the choice
vehicle for songs
written by acclaimed California singer/songwriter and guitarist,
Alexander Nelson, 24, who established Walking Spanish as the band's
front man when he was a teenager. The glory-bound rhythm
section of Walking Spanish consists of two brothers from Sacramento, Tim
& Patrick Picchi. The Picchis along with bassist Tom Gunterman bring
big drive and sophisticated intricacies to Nelsons' already enchanting
songs. An original Rock/Americana band with deep vintage
vibes and a captivating modern edge, Walking Spanish brings a lush
and layered sound, combining heart pumping rock and roll and
soulful roots with an enduring grace that uplifts and revives
the spirit. Currently they are in the studio working on their
third album which is due to be released in April 2014, with a
West coast tour to follow.

Walking Spanish was awarded The Sacramento Area Sammie Award
for Best Rock Band three times in 2010, 2012, 2013. In 2012, the band performed live at the Apple Store in
Union Square as part of an iTunes promotion for their latest
album, "Wishbones". Tracks from "Wishbones" (2011), have been
heard on several radio stations, including;

Relix Magazine, and more. Alexander Nelson and Walking Spanish have shared the stage
with artists such as Phil Lesh and Friends, Jackie Greene,
Richard Thompson, Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Malo, Blame
Sally, Willie Porter, John Cruz, Country Joe McDonald, and
more.In the SF Bay area they have performed at Hotel Utah, Grant and Green, The Fillmore,
Slim's, Bimbos 365, Brick & Mortar, Cafe du Nord, The
Starry Plough and Disco Volante as well as 19 Broadway, Terrapin Crossroads, Aubergine,
Hopmonk Tavern, and Russian River Brewing Co, and more.

SAFFELL is a dynamic, original trio with singer/songwriter Saffell
Sproul on keys and lead vocals, Bill O'Donnell on drums, and Aidan Collins Smith on bass and vocals.
When you see the stage set up; piano, bass and drums, you would never
guess what a full, funky and fantastic sound is about to be produced by
just these three.
The band resides in California's North Bay and is quickly building a
loyal fan base.

These original songs sound fresh, brand new and yet
timeless at the same time. Saffell's vocals have a wonderfully
unique tone, recognizable, inviting and captivating.
Saffell's percussive attack on the piano is both funky and graceful bringing as
much rhythm as it does melody. These songs defy easy classification
while pulling from R&B, blues, funk, pop, and rock.
All of this is enhanced even further by an amazing rhythm section that
brings it all home. The playing in both the drums and the bass are great
examples of musicians playing exactly what is needed
with excellent chops and effortless style.
They all work together for the song, each instrument making room for the
other,
yet still filling out there place perfectly in the overall groove.
The result of these three players coming together is a rich, satisfying
musical experience you won't soon forget. Saffell is an original band you don't want to miss!

SAFFELL
started to
record their first album at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, CA on January 17th, 2014.  They
are working with David Rubinstein and Doc Collins to produce the
album with recording engineer Matt Wright.  Special guests to be
