Stars & Stripes Veteran Dinner Hosts Apollo XII Astronaut Dick Gordon
Apollo XII Astronaut Dick Gordon will present Shooting for the Moon: A Personal Journey, as the headliner for the 4th annual Stars & Stripes ~ Vets and Cadets dinner put on by Building Better Citizens for America in support of Marin's Air Force JROTC student leadership program.
The
AF JROTC has recently forged a collaboration with Marin's Space Station
Museum to promote their shared mission of flight science education. The
Space Station Museum will bring a traveling display of space history
and artifacts. The Swingin' Blue Stars of the USS Hornet will entertain,
and once again Honoring Our Marin Veterans Oral History Project will be
highlighted
Join us for an inspiring celebration of our veterans
who have served to keep our country secure, and relish the foot-tapping
entertainment and interesting presentation by one of our true space
pioneers.
Dinner tickets are $50. The VIP reception with Dick
Gordon begins at 5:30 at a cost of $100. Veterans and their spouses
attend the dinner free, and can attend the VIP reception at half price.
