Second Fridays Downtown "Latin Flavors on Fourth Street"

DOWNTOWN SAN RAFAEL’S SECOND FRIDAYS ADDS CULTURAL SPICE TO SUMMER NIGHT WITH “LATIN FLAVORS ON FOURTH STREET

Live Music, Dancing, Street Food, Dining Specials and Stores Open until 9 pm!

Downtown San Rafael will come alive with Latin music, free salsa dance lessons, street food, dining and shopping during the inaugural “Second Fridays Downtown” on August 9, from 5:30 – 9 pm. Produced by the Downtown San Rafael Business Improvement District (BID), Second Fridays Downtown builds upon Art Works Downtown’s successful Second Friday’s Art Walk adding district-wide entertainment, dining specials, street food and sidewalk sales for an evening of fun.

In the City Plaza, festivities will start off after 6 pm with a Zumba demo class, followed by Latin Jazz -Cuban combo Alta All Stars and free salsa dance lessons by Dance Arts Studio.  Best of Brazilian Skewers Food Truck and live music between D and E will connect the center to the West End, where diners can enjoy sangria and the music of Jose Neto at Whipper Snapper, plus Latin infused rock on the street. Even Lotus Café has caught the vibe, promising savory samples and hosting Latin music on the patio. In progress is the creation of a Latin dance party on the West End, with a few food trucks or Latin food vendors to add to "village" life.   From central downtown to the West End Village, there will be something to suit every taste.
