Habitat Restoration: Lake Lagunitas

Restore oak woodland and native grassland habitat by removing outcompeting Douglas-fir trees. Our shrinking pocket meadows are home to sun-loving plants and animals and are hunting grounds for birds of prey. The fruits of our open canopy hardwoods - oak, bay and madrone trees - nourish abundant forest wildlife. Halt the advancement of the fast-growing, shade-producing conifers. Meet at Lake Lagunitas parking lot at 9AM, located at the end of Sky Oaks Rd in Fairfax.

Meeting time and Location:  Meet at 9 am at the Lake Lagunitas parking area, at the end of Sky Oaks Rd, off of Bolinas Road in Fairfax.
