Start the New Year with the tremendously helpful Winter Rose Pruning and Bare Root Rose Planting seminar and demonstration with certified Rosarian and Marin Master Gardener, Lenore Ruckman. Lenore will talk about tools, gloves, and general information about rose pruning. She will also demonstrate correct pruning and bare root planting tecniques in the garden. Participants will have a chance to practice what they learn while being supervised and advised by Lenore. If it is pouring rain we will meet in the green house for the talk and head outside briefly for the demonstration so wear appropriate raingear. Last year it was bright and sunny. So maybe we will be lucky this year!
Definitely wear substantial long gloves (leather is best) and bring your pruners.
There will be an optional work party after the Rose Workshop from 10:00 to 1:00 where you will have a chance to work in the other Falkirk gardens with Marin Master Gardeners who will answer gardening questions.
