"The Marin Golden Gate Barbershop Chorus is a group of men who love to sing in the barbershop style. We are a non-profit organization, established in 1954 as a part of SPEBSQSA (Society for the Preservation and Enjoyment of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America!), currently known as the Barbershop Harmony Society.
We perform throughout the year at various local functions such as the Marin County Fair and the Human Race, at assisted living facilities, at our annual fall show, and of course we offer up a healthy dose of quartet singing for Valentine’s Day. Wherever we are, we’re dedicated to bringing good cheer to our audiences!
Our mission is to bring the joy of singing to men of good will, and to promote youth outreach programs to assist young men who wish to learn to sing in the four-part (tenor, lead, baritone and bass) a cappella harmony barbershop style. We rehearse every Monday evening, 7:30, at the 1st Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo, 72 Kensington Rd. at Ross Ave.
