Beyond Hunger Screens America The Beautiful 3: The Sexualization of Our Youth

DATE: Wednesday,
March 5, 2014

Join Beyond Hunger, a
25 year-old nonprofit organization from San Rafael, as they host the first Bay Area screening of documentary
film, America the Beautiful 3: The
Sexualization of our Youth.
This
third installment of America the
Beautiful
explores America’s controversial and shameless sexualization of
our youth. The assault of images portraying the perfect sexy body is
inescapable and inappropriate, contributing to a national physical and mental
health crisis.  Award-winning director
Darryl Roberts helps reveal the treacherous effects this has on not just
children, but society as a whole. The Screening will be at the San Rafael Film Center, located at 4118 Fourth Street, San Rafael, California.  Event begins at 6:15, followed by Q&A with
Daryl Roberts, writer and director of the documentary and a reception for VIP
ticketholders at gourmet restaurant, Il Davide.
Tickets are $25 and VIP Tickets are $50.  To participate in our online raffle, tickets may
be purchased at $5 per ticket, or 5 tickets for $20. You may purchase tickets online
at http://www.beyondhunger.org/ATB2014.htm
or at the door the day of the event. Beyond Hunger offers multiple,
weekly support groups and workshops for people with eating disorders and body
image issues.  For more information on
