Book Passage, Neighbor

Adrienne Amundsen went to Afghanistan and
brought back Reclaiming the Apple: Poems from Afghanistan ($12.95),
which describes a country devastated by war. She found the people determined
and resilient in impossible circumstances. Both Afghans and American soldiers
are depicted here, and tragedy stands next to hope in this modern war zone.
