Music Line up announced for Blues and BBQ Fest July 20

The cream of the Bay Area Blues artist will find themselves downtown San Rafael on July 20 for the Great American Blues and Barbeque Festival:
Nick Gravenites, Tommy Castro and Ron Thompson!

This wonderful Festival held on 4th street between 11 and 5,  celebrates America's outstanding heritage of the Blues and Roots music with performances by local and national blues artists. The Rt. Honorable Austin de Lone Little Big Band is the solid blues house band starting at 1:30 and will feature Eric McCann - bass and vocals, Paul Revelli - drums and vocals, Jimmy Dillon - guitar and vocals, Keith Crossan - saxophone, Austin de Lone - keyboards, guitar, and vocals.  With very Special guests and blues legends:  Nick Gravenites, Tommy Castro and Ron Thompson!  Starting off the music at noon will be the true blue sounds of JC Smith Band.


Food concessions and competitions will focus on the great American original, Barbecue, in all its varied glory.  The presentation follows loosely the Kansas City Barbeque Society guidelines.   All the fare will be finger lickin’ good.  There will be a red hot “King of the Que” competition with one prize being peoples choice so everyone can participate. Entries can be either professionals or the home chef and will be judged in the categories of Top Taste, and/or ribs, and/or brisket, and/or pulled pork.   Trophies will be awarded to First, Second and Third Places and the “2014 King Of The Que” Crown for the overall supremely best barbeque in America.  Award winners will be crowned at 3:00 from the main stage.
