The San Rafael Pacifics baseball team start spring training on Saturday playing their first game in San Quentin State Prison against an all-star team comprised of the best players from the prison's two baseball teams, the San Quentin Giants and the San Quentin A's.
Despite a lopsided 17 to 3 victory by the Pacifics, it was clear that all involved had a fun-filled day. For about 3 hours, approximately 20 San Quentin inmates got to return to their youth and play baseball, oblivous to their surroundings.
